Westgate Community School is a small school of innovation that seeks to serve gifted students who would benefit from a creative, collaborative and less traditional educational environment.
Established in 2009.
Erin Frazier, Parent: Westgate is whole-child school that uses activity-based learning and grouping for grades and abilities so that students are in a space of challenge, but still with their peers. It values service to the community, and maintaining knowledge and skills from year-to-year.
Christopher McNeal, Parent: Wonderful program for gifted and talented. Lots of club activities for after school, progressive homework policy and our kids love their teachers! Parents are very active in the success of both the school and supporting the teachers. Admin is very hands on and transparent with the direction of the school, welcoming community input.
