One Day, One Goal: Give for a Better Outdoor Colorado

Nature is good for us! It’s been proven to improve our health, happiness, and well-being. Whether it’s planting trees and pollinator gardens, growing fresh produce for people in need, or creating access to new natural areas, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is there with our hard-working volunteers, helping nature and people thrive.

Each year, we host nearly 100 volunteer events for everyday people to play their part in caring for Colorado, from expanding access to recreation to improving habitats and restoring lands after unprecedented rainfall. VOC volunteers gave over 20,000 hours of love and labor to Colorado's lands, rivers, and ecosystems this year - and with your support, we'll continue to do it for years to come.

With Colorado Gives Day coming up, we're asking you to support a healthier Colorado by making a donation anytime between November 1, 2023 through December 6, 2023.

Give for a Better, Healthier, Stronger, Happier, Greener, Outdoor Colorado this Colorado Gives Day!

Mission

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to motivating and enabling people to become active stewards of Colorado's natural resources.

Our vision is a Colorado where all people connect to nature and care for our outdoor spaces.

Background Statement

For nearly four decades, VOC has been enlisting everyday Coloradans in caring for the outdoors. VOC volunteers have addressed some of our state’s most pressing outdoor stewardship needs such as trail maintenance/construction, wildlife habitat, invasive weeds, and fire and flood restoration. Since our founding, VOC’s award-winning volunteer, youth, and training programs have engaged more than 131,000 children and adults in caring for Colorado’s outdoors – a total donated labor value of $26.5 million.

Today VOC is one of the most highly trusted nonprofit partners assisting federal, state, and local public land managers in critical outdoor stewardship work. Our Outdoor Stewardship Institute (OSI) training program trains volunteer leaders who help our 14 staff members plan and hold over 85 projects each year, engaging thousands of volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in improving Colorado’s natural places.
