The Vail Symposium is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to year-round lifelong learning for the Vail Valley community through educational programs that are thought provoking, diverse and affordable.
As the second oldest non-profit in Vail, the Vail Symposium has touched thousands of lives with its rich and varied history. Created in 1971, the Symposium was conceived by community leaders to formulate ideas and goals, attracting not only the majority of townsfolk but also policy makers from across the state and nation. Throughout the years we have diversified and expanded our scope with a dedication to educational and cultural programs. Our goal is to be the voice of intellectual curiosity and stimulation for all residents of and visitors to the Vail Valley.
"I was already familiar with the books of the speakers whose programs (Living At Your Peak) I attended, but it was very helpful for me to compare their presentations with their written work. I was also happy to see so many people attending, including friends, but also many people I did not know would have an interest in these topics. I feel a greater sense of support and belonging in this community as a result."
"So I am deeply grateful to you for the opportunity to attend these events locally."
"Bringing this information forward to share with interested and open minded individuals."
"Interesting topics not easily available locally."
"The inspiring speakers you are able to bring to this valley, which creates a wave of consciousness/energy desperately needed in these troubled times, even (and perhaps especially) in this valley. It is gratifying to know that your organization is supportive of self-transformation; the more we spread the word and encouragement, the better for us, the environment and the planet! You are to be congratulated for the bold step in this direction."
