Young Israel Of Denver has been an incredible source of strength and support to me and my family over the past few years. I've found myself in the unenviable position of needing to say kaddish for both my parents in quick succession, and the daily minyan has carried me through this challenging time. Amid grief, however, I have found friendship and spiritual inspiration from our wonderful Rabbi, Shmuel Halpern, whose kindness and wisdom are only matched by his humility. We are blessed to have him at the helm of our community. Young Israel is a place where Jews of all backgrounds are welcomed warmly; where they can expand their torah knowledge and be uplifted by soulful tefilah; where strangers become friends, and friends become family.
