$8,000 Goal

Restoration Ranch Colorado was started by Kathryn Severns Avery in 2021 after her husband Chris was killed when his car was hit by fleeing robbery suspects. The compassion and genuine concern from the Lakewood, Colorado police and other first responders during that horrific time brought her front and center on critical issues facing first responders. Across the nation, these caring individuals work in high stress situations with mandatory overtime due to agencies being severely understaffed. Many experience burnout and health issues as a result of their work. This new-found knowledge sparked her desire to give back to those who were with her husband that awful December day.

Today, RRC offers places of respite and relaxation for first responders. RRC is NOT a mental health facility. The ranch is a place to come and relax in a beautiful cabin on 40 scenic acres in the Rocky Mountains, free of charge. Through the organization's Valor Vacations® program first responders and their families can take discounted vacations giving them the much-needed getaway opportunities. Scholarships are available to those who cannot afford the discounted price.
