Lindsey has been affected by primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and has undergone two liver transplants. PSC destroyed her liver twice. PSC has no cure and no FDA-approved treatments. There is a significant incidence of recurrence after transplant and of several types of liver and GI cancers.
Researchers are working hard to find treatments that the FDA will approve, but research is expensive. All money raised by Move for PSC team members will be used for funding research.
