Faiza arrived in the U.S. with nothing but her two children and a dream for a better future. Escaping violence and uncertainty in her home country, she hoped to find safety—but instead, she faced overwhelming challenges: a new language, no job, and no idea where to turn for help.
Then she found us.
At our center, Faiza enrolled in English classes to build the skills she needed to communicate. Our navigation team helped her access health care, enroll her children in school, and apply for work permits. Through our advocacy programs, she found a community that gave her strength and a voice she never thought she had. Slowly but surely, Faiza began to rebuild her life.
Today, she is working, her children are thriving, and she is an active member of the community. But Faiza story is just one of many—every day, immigrants and refugees walk through our doors, hoping for a second chance.
