Empowering youth. Strengthening families. Transforming communities.
The Youth Empowerment Agency (YEA) exists to create opportunities where young people and families can thrive. We work year-round to remove barriers and expand access to education, leadership, workforce training, and healthy living supports in communities that have been historically underserved, including Commerce City, Montbello, Green Valley Ranch, and East Colfax.
Through our Youth Empowerment Project, Childcare Apprenticeship Program, and Food & Nutrition Initiatives, we help youth and families build protective factors, gain workforce credentials, and achieve stability. From afterschool enrichment and career navigation to nutrition education and food access, YEA meets families where they are, supporting both immediate needs and long-term success.
In 2025, YEA will:
Serve over 75 youth and 100 families through afterschool and summer programs.
Train 20+ aspiring childcare providers through our apprenticeship and Pre-apprenticeship pipeline, opening new childcare slots for working parents.
Distribute healthy food while teaching youth to grow, cook, and share nutritious foods.
Your gift helps us build stronger communities, one youth, one family, and one neighborhood at a time.
Together, we’re creating pathways to hope, opportunity, and self-sufficiency.
