Su Teatro has a full season of theater by and about the Latino World, an annual Film Festival, Music Festival and Word Fest. A large arts education program featuring classes, touring productions, workshops, internships and the youth company El Teatro VolARTE.

Description

Our flagship program and the engine that drives all of our creative labors is The Mainstage Season. Su Teatro annually produces 4 to 5 plays, many of which are original Su Teatro company created works, adaptations or translations.

We also showcase Latino playwrights such as Octavio Solis, Cherrie Moraga, and Chicano Literary Award winner Marisela Trevino Orta.

This season Su Teatro will be presenting: El Sol Que Tu Eres, Christmas en Colorado, MAS and Divorces, Evangelistas and Vegetarians.

In addition to producing, we present 2-6 national touring artists each year

Description

Su Teatro's arts education program is our largest ongoing project. Current Cultural Arts Institute programming includes in-school and after school theater and visual arts classes; VolARTE, our youth theater company; Saturday morning theater classes; and four educational touring performances: Papi, Me and Cesar Chavez, Francisca y la Muerte, El Hijo de Cinturon.

Chicano Music Festival and Auction

Description

The Chicano Music Festival and Auction is a four day outdoor roots festival that celebrates the music of the Southwest- rhythms influenced heavily by Mexican traditions but born on this side of the border. The live and silent auctions feature and promote the original work of local and Southwestern artists.
