The Game Changers

The Game Changers are a passionate group of 30 young people on a mission to unleash their power to prevent and reduce youth violence in northeast Denver. Youth see firsthand the issues in their communities that lead to violence, and through partnership with community organizations, schools, and local businesses, are given the tools and resources they need to respond effectively. Their efforts bridge science, arts, and media, to create sustained positive change. 

Mission: Create pathways for young people on a quest for equity and social justice to unleash their power, amplify their voice, and make a positive impact on both their communities and their future.

The Game Changers implement scientifically-backed violence prevention strategies. These include social norming through community events and social media, an app to connect struggling youth to resources, capacity-building for youth-serving organizations, and documentary films. Our team that supports the Game Changers are amazing community members with extensive experience in supporting youth to achieve their best.
