In 2009, a few organizations in Weld County supported women’s financial needs. Still, none provided the immediate assistance that could make the difference between staying in their home and keeping their job by having their own car. That same year, Women2Women Founder, Kay Broderius, shared her idea for an organization that provided financial assistance to women in need with nine other Weld County women.
These ten women all agreed that an organization that could respond quickly to women’s immediate financial needs would be unique in Weld County, and Women2Women (W2W) was formed and received 501(c)(3) status. The first W2W fundraising effort was a commitment from each of the ten board members to each ask ten friends for $100 in 100 days. Just 31 days later, $11,000 was raised, and W2W was off and running. This has become the inspiration for our annual 100x100 campaign seeking to add more women to this network of supporters.
In the generous spirit of the first board of directors, the Women2Women board invites you to join our sisterhood in 2025 or continue your celebration of the power of Weld County women united together to support each other!
W2W’s mission is to provide one-time emergency funds to assist women in crisis who have exhausted all other avenues of financial help and have been referred by one of the 90+ charities with whom we collaborate. Since 2009, W2W has helped over 2,900 women with car repairs, dental and health services, higher education expenses, housing repairs, a rental payment, and survivor relocation. The power of the purse has put $1,612,531 (as of October 31, 2025) back into our local economy on behalf of our Weld County sisters!
Our funds reach so many women who need a little kindness in their most challenging moments. W2W relies on generous contributions from people like you. Every donation (of any size!) makes an invaluable impact on women of all ages and backgrounds living in our Weld County communities. Will you help us reach our fundraising goals by joining us in this year’s 100x100 campaign?
150 Women X $100 X 100 Days = Our $15,000 Goal!
