Safe & Sheltered: Winter Shelter for Our Sanctuary Horses
They spent their lives carrying riders, entering show rings, teaching lessons, and giving their people everything they had. Now it’s our turn to care for them.
This winter, After The Show Equine Sanctuary is raising funds for additional pasture shelters to protect our horses from Colorado’s snow, wind, and bitter cold.
For seniors like Ziggy, a 29-year-old former hunter/jumper, and Churro, a 25-year-old former dressage and hunter horse, shelter is especially important. Both have very poor teeth and require specially prepared mash meals, but they are happiest living outdoors with their pasture companions.
Your gift will help provide a dry, protected place for Ziggy, Churro, and our other sanctuary horses to eat, rest, and escape the worst of Colorado’s winter weather.
They spent their lives showing up for us. Now we can show up for them.
