Our Story: Why Your Support Matters Now More Than Ever

Ardent Grove was built on a simple belief that shouldn't seem as radical as it does:

Mental health care is a right—not a privilege reserved for a select few.

Every day, our clinicians sit with children, teens, adults, and families who are navigating some of the most tender, painful, and courageous moments of their lives. They show up with compassion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, deeply human care—regardless of a person’s ability to pay.

And every day, the need continues to grow.

Across Colorado, mental health services remain unaffordable or inaccessible for far too many. With new Medicaid restrictions limiting coverage to just 20 therapy sessions per year, hundreds of individuals face the frightening possibility of losing the consistent care they rely on to heal from trauma, build emotional resilience, and maintain stability. Nearly 60% of Ardent Grove’s clients use Medicaid, and the remaining families rely heavily on our sliding scale—many paying as little as $5 per session to access care that normally costs $150–$350.

Without community support, far too many would be forced to pause or end therapy long before they are ready.

This is why the Friends of Ardent Grove are stepping forward.

This Colorado Gives Day, clinicians, current and former board members, donors, volunteers, partners, and friends of Ardent Grove are coming together with a shared purpose:

**To keep therapy accessible.

To keep families from falling through the cracks. To ensure no one is turned away because they cannot afford the care they deserve.**

Every member of this circle has witnessed the power of Ardent Grove firsthand:

  • Clinicians have looked into the eyes of clients who whisper, “I don’t know what I would have done without this place.”

  • Board members have spent years stewarding a mission that they know is literally life-changing.

  • Donors and partners have invested because they believe in a Colorado where mental health care is equitable and stigma-free.

  • Former clients and families carry stories of healing that have rippled outward into classrooms, workplaces, friendships, and communities.

  • Friends and neighbors understand that when one person receives the care they need, all of us become a little stronger, a little safer, a little more connected.

We have seen what happens when a community refuses to look away.

But we cannot meet this moment alone.

Ardent Grove faces a $60,000 gap created by federal Medicaid changes—funds that directly support sliding scale therapy for children, families, and adults healing from trauma. These aren’t abstract numbers. They represent:

  • therapy sessions that help a child sleep through the night again

  • a parent learning the tools to rebuild connection

  • a teen finding words for what they’ve been carrying alone

  • a survivor taking brave steps toward safety and stability

Your gift makes these moments possible.

Help us continue the stories of healing.

Friends of Ardent Grove are asking you—this Colorado Gives Day—to stand with us in protecting access to care for every person who needs it.

When you give, you aren’t just donating.

You are keeping hope within reach.

You are telling people of ALL abilities that they are worth it!

 You are strengthening families.

You are changing the future of mental health access in Colorado.

Join us in raising the funds that ensure therapy remains accessible, affordable, and stigma-free for all.

Because healing is a community effort—and no one deserves to walk that journey alone!
