I’m running the Colfax Marathon because I believe community has the power to heal, center, and support us all — in well‑being and in recovery from whatever ails us. Running is hard (for me), but recovery is harder. Showing up matters, even when it’s uncomfortable, and that’s what this run represents for me.
I chose to support RecoveryWorks because I’ve been a supporter since day one. I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact their incredible staff make for unhoused neighbors throughout Jefferson County, especially along the Colfax corridor. RecoveryWorks meets people where they are, offering consistency, dignity, and real pathways toward housing and recovery — not just services, but community.
This run is my way of showing up. Every mile reminds me that progress doesn’t require perfection — just persistence. If I can keep moving forward, even slowly, we can help ensure our neighbors have the support they need to do the same.
Thank you for supporting RecoveryWorks, for supporting me in making it to that darn finish line!
Please consider a minimum donation of $30. I will be matching donations up to $200!
