Almost thirty years ago, Melissa and I joined some friends to create a new choir because we loved to sing together and we hoped to recreate some of the transformative musical experiences we had in High School and College. Those first rehearsals were a bit rough, but roots took hold that formed the foundation of the group Kantorei has become today. 

What started as a handful of friends with a passion for choral music has grown into one of Denver and the country's most respected vocal ensembles. Over the years, Kantorei has sung on multiple national stages, recorded several albums, premiered multiple new works, all while moving audiences with music that elevates audiences. 

Now, as we look to the future, we need your help to keep that vision alive. Your support ensures that this choir—founded by friends, sustained by passion—can keep sharing music that brings art and beauty to our world. 

The singers are unpaid, so the money goes to support staff, commissions, and other operational costs. Like many other arts organizations, ticket sales don't cover the full costs of running the organization.
