Colorado Sled Hockey Association (CSHA)
The Colorado Sled Hockey Association (CSHA) is dedicated to promoting and advancing the sport of sled hockey, an adaptive form of ice hockey for individuals with physical disabilities. Our mission is to provide opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities, including disabled veterans, to engage in competitive and recreational sled hockey, fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience both on and off the ice.
Through our programs, we empower athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and be part of a supportive community. CSHA fields teams that compete locally, regionally, and nationally, with some players representing Team USA on the international stage. We are also committed to raising awareness about adaptive sports and educating the public on the importance of inclusion in athletics.
Your donations help us provide equipment, ice time, coaching, and travel opportunities, ensuring that athletes with disabilities and veterans have access to this life-changing sport. Together, we can break down barriers and inspire others to see the power of adaptive sports.
Colorado Sled Hockey was founded in 1995 and in 1996 was the first sled hockey team sponsored by an NHL affiliate. We are dedicated to providing a competitive environment to foster independence and elevate social interaction through hockey. Currently, we consist of four teams: Youth, A travel, B travel, C travel. In 2021 our team of disabled veterans have blended in to make more competitive teams! We are a 501(c)(3) Tax Deductible Charity.
