When I think about why the Local Change Foundation exists, I think about Vic. During the uncertainty of COVID, Vic was cutting hair in his garage, not just to help his family and friends, but to discover a passion that would shape his future. He didn’t have the means to pay for trade school, but he had the drive, the vision, and the heart. With the very first trade scholarship we awarded, Vic was able to enroll in barber school, and today he’s thriving—working in a barbershop, building a career, and inspiring others with his story. His journey is proof that when we invest in young people, we unlock potential that can change lives forever.
