Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) is a nonprofit that trains, supports, and provides young adults ages 18-24 with meaningful employment opportunities in land conservation, energy conservation, water conservation, healthcare, and construction career pathways. 

MHYC serves over 23 Colorado counties and has been a leader in this space for over 30 years.  Our work is making a difference for communities today and building a stronger workforce for tomorrow.

    • 5,350+ young adults served across 24 counties since founding in 1991
    • 98% of Corpsmembers reported MHYC had a positive impact on their life and future
    • 2.2 million hours of service to Colorado communities
  • Land Conservation (2024 alone)
    • 387 acres of public land restored
    • 52 miles of trails and rivers improved
    • 808 native trees and shrubs planted
  • YouthBuild Construction / Health & Wellness (2024 alone)
    • 82 units of affordable housing constructed
    • 639 members of the community supported with health & wellness services
    • 4,818 hours of community service delivered
  • Energy & Water Conservation (2024 alone)
    • 594 low-income households retrofitted
    • 8.5 million gallons of water saved
    • 370,000 kilowatts of energy saved
