Start your fundraiser page by telling readers why you support CCWB. Tell them why you believe our mission is important, and why you have chosen to dedicate your work life to achieving our mission.

Here are some key messages that you can use on your page:

"Together, we're closing the racial wealth gap in Metro Denver and creating an economy that works for everyone."

"Your partnership empowers BIPOC entrepreneurs to build thriving businesses and create jobs in our communities."

"Invest in CCWB and join the movement to transform economic systems and foster self-determined communities rooted in dignity and joy."

"Our collaborative approach doesn't just address symptoms—it creates lasting, systemic change for generations to come."

"Join us in building a more vibrant, innovative, and resilient economy that benefits all Coloradans."

As you build your fundraising page, use language from our fundraising appeal letter. Here is the letter’s intro:

Metro Denver stands at a critical juncture. The widening racial wealth gap—where white households hold 10 times the wealth of Black households and 8 times that of Hispanic households—isn't just a statistic. It's a call to action for all of us who envision a more equitable and prosperous community.

Historically, BIPOC entrepreneurs have faced economic discrimination through systemic practices such as redlining, loan denials, and exclusionary covenants. This has prevented wealth-building and created cycles of economic hardship across generations. Today, these entrepreneurs still face significant barriers to success and risk being displaced from gentrifying neighborhoods, further challenging their ability to build and maintain wealth.

When we invest in local BIPOC businesses and cooperatives, we create a powerful multiplier effect: we help prevent displacement, we enable local businesses to generate jobs, and we ensure that money circulates within our communities rather than leaving to line the pockets of outside investors. This investment helps build sustainable, thriving local economies that create opportunities to build generational wealth.

At CCWB, we're actively building a better future alongside our community partners. Our approach is rooted in deep collaboration. We believe we can only create economic justice when we work in solidarity with the communities we serve. We do this through:

- Partnering with workers to develop cooperatives, opening new pathways to business ownership and shared prosperity;

- Collaborating with BIPOC entrepreneurs, providing tools and connections to help their businesses flourish;

- Engaging with anchor institutions like hospitals and universities, redirecting spending to create robust local economies.

Here’s a story you can include about a BIPOC entrepreneur that CCWB has worked with:

Your support will help us support amazing entrepreneurs like Johnitta Medina, owner of Momma Jah's LLC, a thriving vegan catering business. When Johnitta arrived in Denver, she experienced housing insecurity. Through CCWB's Feeding Anchors program, she gained the skills, mentorship, and confidence to transform her culinary passion into a flourishing business. Today, Johnitta is building community wealth by creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, and nourishing her community with culturally rich, plant-based soul food. Her journey exemplifies the ripple effect of our collaborative approach to economic empowerment.

Impacts you can include:

- CCWB has helped over 600 BIPOC-owned businesses connect with conscious consumers through ShopBIPOC

- We have coached 15 anchor institutions to shift tens of thousands of dollars to local, diverse businesses

- Our small business team has helped entrepreneurs like Johnitta not just succeed personally, but also to create jobs in marginalized communities

- CCWB is working to create worker cooperatives that provide pathways to ownership and shared prosperity

- By working together to close the racial wealth gap, we have the potential to add $15 billion annually to Colorado's GDP and generate an additional $11.6 billion in economic output by 2050.

Conclude your campaign with a call to action.

“Here's how your gift can make a tangible difference:

- $xx facilitates an hour of peer-to-peer knowledge sharing for emerging business owners and cooperatives

- $xx supports the creation of a professional online presence for a local business or cooperative

- $xxx enables an entrepreneur's participation in our Feeding Anchors program or our Worker Ownership Cooperative Academy

“By investing in CCWB, you're improving people's lives while catalyzing a movement. You're helping to create more vibrant, diverse, and resilient  local economies and building a legacy of economic justice that will benefit generations to come.”

End with a request for a donation:

“Will you join us in this transformative work? Together, we can create an economy that works for everyone.”
