Help Ziggy & Fredie: Cockatoos in Urgent Need of Surgery

Ziggy (13, male) and Fredie (16, female) are beloved cockatoos facing chronic, recurring cloacal prolapse—a painful condition that puts them at serious risk for life-threatening infections. Previous treatments haven’t worked, and now they need specialized surgery to live healthy, happy lives.

Under the expert care of Dr. Brenna Fitzgerald, each bird requires imaging, testing, and ventplasty/cloacopexy surgery, at approximately $7,500 per bird. Petfinder Foundation has already generously donated $500 toward Ziggy’s procedure.

We will only be able to schedule these procedures once funds are secured. Your donation will help these charming, resilient birds get the medical care they urgently need and give them a chance to enjoy many more active, joyful years.
