Shaman

Shaman arrived as an unhandled stallion with a tender, uncertain past. Under gentle, choice-based handling, he is learning what safety feels like in a human relationship. We celebrate the smallest tries, reward curiosity, and let his body and mind set the pace. Each day, Shaman shows more softness: a longer exhale, a lowered neck, a step that seeks connection instead of escape. Your gift helps us fund his upcoming veterinary care, careful rehabilitation, and the time it takes for a sensitive horse to become adoptable with confidence.

Lainey

Lainey continues her rehab with the slow, steady work of nervous-system regulation. We focus on consent and micro-wins: standing without brace, following a feel, and finding relaxation in new environments. Lainey reminds us that progress is not a straight line. Some days are about rest and reassurance. Because of donors like you, we can keep her on a species-appropriate track system, provide bodywork and quality forage, and invest the patient, consistent training that creates lasting change.

She is getting closer to starting under saddle and we are so excited about her progres.

Delta (Sanctuary, age 20)

Delta is our dignified elder and a permanent sanctuary resident. She teaches presence, boundaries, and the quiet magic of being seen. Delta’s care is fully covered by the foundation: senior-appropriate nutrition, medical and hoof care, warm shelter in winter, and companionship year-round. Gifts to Honor the Horse ensure Delta’s golden years are comfortable, enriching, and full of love.

Sam (Adoption Success)

Sam was our first rehabilitation case through the foundation. With time, trust, and compassionate training, Sam found his forever home. He is thriving, and his story proves why this work matters: when you fund rehabilitation done with respect and choice, you change a life for good. Your donation helps us create more Sam stories.
