Spaghetti Night: Where Ideas Begin

Exceptional work has to start somewhere.

For Artists Amongst Us, it often starts around a table.

Spaghetti Night is our monthly creative incubator, bringing artists together in a relaxed, welcoming environment to eat, share ideas, and talk about the work they are dreaming about or already beginning to create.

An artist might arrive with a new piece of music, a few pages of a script, a choreographic idea, a film concept, a poem, a question, or simply the beginning of an idea they don't yet know how to realize.

Around the table are artists from other disciplines who may see possibilities they hadn't imagined.

Creating Collaboration Across Disciplines

Artists Amongst Us believes that some of the most interesting work happens when artists step outside their usual circles and encounter one another.

A dancer meets a filmmaker. A musician finds a choreographer. A writer hears their words spoken aloud. An idea that belonged to one person begins to grow through collaboration.

Spaghetti Night creates a place for those encounters to happen naturally, without the pressure of presenting finished work.

We celebrate the process of creating: experimentation, conversation, curiosity, failure, discovery and the courage to begin.

From the Loft to the Stage

Our vision is to help artists develop ideas into exceptional work - but every finished production begins long before opening night.

It can begin in a loft in RiNo, over a plate of spaghetti, with someone saying:

“I have an idea.”

And someone else answering:

“I can help.”
