I'm honored to be the NSNO board president. The stories of recipients, donors and transplant coordinators in the Kidney Convo programs are so compelling, 9% of attendees have taken the first step to start the donation process.

I’ve been aware of the need for kidney donation since I was a child. My father was a nephrologist (kidney doctor) and mother was a pediatrician. I grew up seeing patients at my dad's office on dialysis knowing if they didn't have a transplant they would die.  As an adult, I carried this with me. Eventually, I saw a note on Facebook from someone looking for a donor. If I could help save someone’s life, why wouldn’t I?

Living donation is not for everyone, but YOUR financial contribution could help spark the idea in someone.

My life has been more enriched since I donated than I ever imagined! I wake up every day knowing that a guy in NY is also waking up to a new day. I joined Kidney Donor Athletes (KDA) and had the opportunity to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in March 2026 with 14 other donors to create awareness and raise funds for living kidney donation. I've created lifelong bonds with the nicest humans on earth!

 If you donate, maybe I'll be motivated to do something else crazy - although it won't be skydiving or Everest!!
