Support Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice

In 2011, I lost my mom to an aggressive form of brain cancer.  So aggressive, in fact, that it was exactly three months from her diagnosis to her death.  During those three months, my mom underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.  It was a hard time for my mom and our family.  She had three different doctors and yet nobody to oversee and coordinate all of her care.  It was overwhelming.  When she finally entered hospice, a calm descended upon us.  We had a nurse who explained exactly what was happening and helped us focus on my mom, rather than treatments.  It was remarkable. I was left with a deep respect and awe for hospice care.  

In 2022, I was asked to join the Board of Directors at Mount Evans Home Health Care and Hospice.  During the last three years serving on that board I have learned just what a special organization Mount Evans is.  I have heard countless stories from the community about how Mount Evans has impacted their lives and the lives of their loved ones.  Mount Evans is committed to providing hospice and home health care to our community, though in the face of changes to healthcare reimbursement, the cost of that care has increased drastically.
