In loving memory of Margaret Ann Richard—known to many as “Kiwi” or “Maggie”—our family invites you to honor her beautiful legacy by supporting the Rocky Mountain Rett Association.
Maggie’s selflessness, kindness, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She was passionate about helping others throughout her life. Nearly a decade ago, she became aware of the Rocky Mountain Rett Association and faithfully supported its mission while living in both Savannah and Colorado.
Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that primarily affects girls and leads to developmental regression after a period of seemingly typical growth. Children with Rett syndrome may lose purposeful hand use and speech, develop repetitive hand movements, and face challenges with balance, coordination, breathing, and seizures. While there is currently no cure, early intervention and specialized care can greatly improve quality of life.
The Rocky Mountain Rett Association helps fund and sustain a specialized Rett Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where families from across the United States receive coordinated, multidisciplinary care from a dedicated team of experts.
We invite you to make a direct donation in Maggie’s honor through the fundraising link. Your contribution will help advance awareness, research, and support for families impacted by Rett syndrome, while sustaining the vital work of the Rett Clinic.
