On June 27th 2025, our lives were shattered when our daughter, Soprano, died in a hit and run car crash. Not only did we lose our only child, but our best friend, favorite human, and purpose in life.

Our daughter was the best human we have ever known. She was incredibly smart, articulate, empathetic, competitive, passionate, and creative. She was a social justice warrior that fiercely defended the humanitarian rights of the people & causes she loved. She spoke truth to power and hated bullies. We are so proud to be her parents.

Soprano was entering her senior year at CSU, majoring in political science. At the age of 20 she sat on the Board of Directors at Crossroads Safehouse.  Business owners, government officials, teachers, and nonprofit leaders were among her peers. Her thoughts and ideas were respected, valued, and praised. She was a bright light in this world. Her future was unlimited.

To ensure her legacy of advocacy and continue her work that was tragically cut short, we have created The Soprano Turner Foundation to support the nonprofits our daughter held dear. The Soprano Turner Foundation will commit its resources to LGBTQ+ rights, women’s rights, the prevention of domestic violence, mental health resources, BIPOC, and many other community and critical causes Soprano supported and believed in.

Please give what you can. All donations are tax deductible. Know that whatever amount you give will be used to make an impact in Soprano’s name, in the community, and for the people she loved. We ask that you share this appeal with your networks to expand your hearts and her legacy to those who never knew her. With your support, we will continue her work for the most vulnerable among us, drive our purpose through her forward, and give Soprano the legacy she richly deserves. Help us shine her light forward.

Thank you.
