February is National Heart Month

This February—National Heart Month—we invite you to WATCH A POWERFUL VIDEO created by our partner, Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation (RMCHF), for their annual fundraising celebration. It shares the stories of three families (including my own) navigating the lifelong journey of congenital heart defects—endless surgeries, hospitalizations, and challenges that never truly end.

This journey is one I know intimately. On New Year's Day 1975, my daughter Jessica Renee came into this world with a heart that was beautifully imperfect. At just 22 months old, after her final open-heart surgery, Jessie earned her angel wings. Born from my promise that her light would never fade, Jessie's Heart Foundation was created—a mission to ease the emotional, physical, and financial burdens families face, from medical bills to travel, lodging, childcare, and even funeral expenses.

Through our partnership with RMCHF and Colorado's hospital social workers, your donations go directly to families in crisis when they need it most.
