Support the Weehawken Scholarship Fund
Help ensure every child—and every adult—can access the transformative power of the arts.
At Weehawken Creative Arts, we believe creativity should never be limited by financial barriers. Each year, hundreds of families across Ouray, Ridgway, and Montrose turn to Weehawken not only for high-quality arts education, but also for opportunity, community, and belonging.
To meet this need, Weehawken provides nearly $30,000 annually in scholarships and work-trade opportunities to ensure students of all ages can participate in our dance, aerial, circus, art, and creative programs. The demand for assistance continues to grow—especially in Montrose, where many families rely on scholarships to make participation possible.
Your gift truly matters.
When you contribute to the Weehawken Scholarship Fund, you directly support:
Youth and adult scholarships for dance, art, theater, and creative classes
Performance fees and costume support for students who otherwise could not participate
Work-trade opportunities that allow families to stay engaged in the arts during difficult seasons
Our separate Aerial & Circus Scholarship Fund, which ensures accessibility in one of our most dynamic and technically demanding programs, where tuition costs are significantly higher due to specialized spaces, equipment, insurance and teacher certifications.
Why your support is essential
The cost of delivering high-quality arts education continues to rise—studio space, insurance, instruction, costuming, equipment maintenance, and production expenses all add up. At the same time, more families are asking for help than ever before.
We never want to turn a student away. Your generosity helps us keep that promise.
Every gift has impact
Whether you give $10, $100, or $1,000, your contribution directly changes someone’s life:
A child takes their first dance class.
A teen discovers confidence and community.
An adult finds healing through creativity.
A family feels supported—not discouraged—during a tough time.
This is what your support makes possible.
Thank you for helping Weehawken Creative Arts remain a place of creativity, belonging, and opportunity for everyone.
