Theatre was the first place I ever felt at peace. It was where I could be fully myself - safe, seen, and free. On stage, and among community, I was encouraged to discover the most authentic version of who I am. There, I found connection, belonging, and identity. I learned that I have purpose and that I could offer something meaningful to the world through art.

OpenStage Theatre & Company became the heart of that discovery when I arrived in Fort Collins in 2008. I found a true artistic home filled with generous, passionate artists who inspired me to grow. Because of OpenStage, I was encouraged to return to school, earn my Master of Fine Arts, perform across the country, teach, and ultimately come full circle to lead OpenStage Theatre & Company into its future as Producing Artistic Director.

OpenStage has transformed hundreds of lives like mine. For 53 years, it has been rooted in the heart of Northern Colorado, shaping not only our cultural landscape but the way people connect and show up for one another. Art matters. It changes how we see ourselves and the world around us. It makes life worth living.
