New update

Update posted 2 months ago

In the past months of October and November, 2025, we have seen a 100% increase in the amount of individuals and families we serve.  Because we are a food bank that welcomes everyone, we do not operate by appointment.  We are first come, first served.

Our average up to September was 160 families (1,620 individuals within these families) every time we were open to the community although we saw over 200 multiple times.  Our current average is 285 families with over 329 families (3,599 individuals within these families) served each time we were open.

We are 100% volunteer operated.  We have no paid staff.

Through community support we have been able to feed everyone who has come to our food bank seeking assistance.  We are only able to do this with community staff.

Sheila Sthole,

Director

The Living Tower Food Bank is located in North Aurora and has opened another location in Bennett, Colorado.  The services that we provide are:

Food, hygiene, and household supplies assistance for individuals and families on Saturdays from 10am-12pm.  Food assistance for disabled veterans throughout each week.  Emergency food assistance on a case by case basis.  Food supplies and hygiene supplies for domestic violence survivor support agencies. Backpack outreach program for the homeless.  Life skills workshops and community engaging opportunities for developmentally disabled individuals weekly.  Resources for schools, half way houses and sober living houses.  Community Service hours available for completion on a case by case basis.

We have served over 12,000 individuals within the first year.
