"Adopt a Dancer" at Autistic Wings and support a place where dancers can be themselves

Autistic Wings Dance Company isn't just another dance studio. It's a community built to support neurodivergent dancers. From "Dancing With A Friend" for our youngest dancers to adult classes (because autism doesn't end at ten or eighteen), Autistic Wings has dance classes for everyone.

It's more than that, though. It's a place where neurodivergent dancers can learn to teach dance.

It's a place where neurotypical parents can learn about autism through the life experiences of neurodivergent adults.

It's a place where the first-in-the-nation's all-neurodivergent dancers dance company, the Golden Chrysalises, can soar on their wings while proving what neurodivergent dancers can do.

For the last few months, it has been a place where I have learned to teach classes, be a little competitive about fundraisers, and learn that sometimes adults do not listen when you try to stay in the shadows. Along with Leta Rundell, I co-founded the nation's first all-neurodivergent dance company.

Starting a company isn't cheap. We need hours in the studio, plus staff around us.

This April, you can help by "Adopting a Dancer". Whether it's a one-time $10 donation or fully supporting one of the Golden Chrysalises for $3400 a month, every donation goes to supporting this unique studio and changing how dance is taught to autistic dancers.

PS: This month, Leta's Tap Styles and My Autistic Life Podcast is donating $10 for each donor who donates (up to $200.)

PPS: We're doing a small competition at the studio to see who can raise the most money this month. Your donation helps me win the rights to say I won the competition.
