Support Weld County Single‑Parent Families
on their Path to Self‑Sufficiency
Your gift today helps single‑parent families in Weld County overcome barriers to education, employment, and stability, creating lasting change for themselves and their children.
For more than 40 years, Project Self‑Sufficiency has partnered with single parents as they pursue college and career pathways. We provide wraparound support that removes the real‑life barriers standing between families and long‑term economic stability, things like housing assistance, childcare support, transportation, emergency resources, and personalized advising.
When families have the right support at the right time, they don’t just survive, they thrive.
Your Impact in Weld County
In 2025, your support helped make the following possible for Weld County
single-parent families:
- Weld Participants Served: In 2025, we served 37 Weld County single parents and 67 children.
- Local Scholarships: Five Weld participants at Aims Community College received $3,500 scholarships from Volunteers Enriching Weld (May 2025).
- Campus & Community Presence: Staff held office hours at Employment Services of Weld County and UNC’s Center for Student Well‑Being, coordinating referrals with Aims Community College and UNC.
- Graduates & Students: Three Weld participants graduated with degrees from UNC, Front Range CC, and Aims CC. Nine participants were in the Discover Stage, with all others actively pursuing post‑secondary credentials.
- Work‑Based Learning: We connected five participants to eight work‑based learning opportunities with local businesses and nonprofits.
- Community Engagement: During the 2025 Weld Project Connect, we provided career assessments and guidance to 24 attendees. We also participated in outreach events at Aims Community College and with Bright Futures.
