Hi, I’m Ali Shore, the SAVA Center Board President. I know first-hand the devastating impact sexual assault has on survivors and our community. Each year, SAVA provides confidential support to over 1,200 victims of sexual assault, and prevention programs reach more than 9,000 students in Larimer and Weld Counties.

As a 30-year SAVA volunteer and supporter, I know that every single person who walks through SAVA’s doors or calls the 24/7 rape crisis hotline has someone who will listen, believe, and support, that children as young as 3 can access play therapy at no cost to their family, and that prevention education reaches students throughout northern Colorado.

Here’s the scary truth: We are entering one of the toughest funding seasons ever. In 2026, $500,000 of our grants will be cut. One third of SAVA’s entire budget—half a million dollars in support that has historically formed the backbone of our work—gone.

The financial foundation of our support for victim services may have been slashed, but survivors cannot wait. You cannot wait.

This year I’m asking you to join me in supporting survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones in Northern Colorado. By donating to SAVA Center on Colorado Gives Day, we ensure every call made to our 24/7 rape crisis hotline is answered and that every single person who walks through SAVA’s doors has someone who will listen, believe, and support.

Here's what your donation will provide:

$150 – 1 child’s therapy session

$100 – 1 Prevention Ed session

$75 – Forensic exam advocacy

$50 – Walk-in crisis support

I know that I can count on you to answer this call. Together with SAVA, we can come to the aid of our neighbors who need it most.
