My name is Diane, and I live in northern Colorado. I started running at 40 as a way to counteract the stress and sedentary lifestyle of grad school. Am I fast? haha no! Will I give up? No way!

Running helps me get out of the house and out of my head. It keeps my heart healthy and my legs strong. I sign up for races because the thought of wasting the registration fee motivates me to train. But most important of all, running has brought me some of the best friendships of my life. Imagine slogging 10 miles down a canyon road with your running besties, then grabbing a massive breakfast and milkshakes at Vern's! Or road-tripping to Albuquerque for a half-marathon and weekend of sightseeing and hilarity! The blisters heal in a few days, but the memories of good times, and the hard things we accomplished, will be with me forever.

Now I have the opportunity to run with 11 new friends in the 200-mile Wild West Relay, July 31-August 1, 2026. Our route will take us from north of Fort Collins all the way to Steamboat Springs! We'll climb mountain passes, speed down hills, cross the Colorado/Wyoming border twice, and probably not sleep much but laugh a whole lot. 😂

We're doing this to raise funds for Matthews House, a Colorado non-profit that supports local families and youth with housing, mentorship, and other support. Our team goal is to raise $12,000 for Matthews House!

Please donate today! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️❤️
