Future Healers EMDR Scholarship

For our dedicated master’s level students, the dream of becoming a trauma therapist has always been about giving back. Many of them grew up in low-income communities where few therapists looked like them or understood their families' struggles. They have seen firsthand how childhood trauma can shape and sometimes limit a young person’s future.

When they entered graduate school, they were determined to specialize in trauma care. They learned about EMDR, a powerful therapy for helping children heal from painful experiences. Yet, the cost of EMDR training is daunting, and unpaid internships make it nearly impossible to balance studies with living expenses.

That’s where the Future Healers EMDR Scholarship Fund changed everything.

With the support of the scholarship, our students are able to enroll in EMDR training, gaining the skills and confidence to guide children through their healing journeys. The monthly stipend helps them pay rent and cover basic needs, allowing them to focus fully on their internships serving low-income families. For many, the financial support isn't just about money, it is a lifeline that kept their dreams alive.

 Every dollar donated to the Future Healers EMDR Scholarship Fund helps students overcome financial barriers, receive specialized training, and become compassionate therapists in communities that need them most.

• A contribution of $1,350 covers the full cost of EMDR training for one intern. 
• A Donation of $500 provides a stipend for one month to an intern to help cover living expenses. 
• Monthly donations of $487.50 for 12 months will sponsor an intern for their entire EMDR training and monthly stipends.
