VOCO harnesses the power of contemporary music to engage young people in creative expression and performance. Dedicated to fostering connections between BIPOC artists and youth, VOCO meets students where they are—blending vocal and musical training with intentional wellness and social-emotional learning. This unique approach offers Denver youth an experience unlike any other in today’s educational and cultural landscape.

Founded in 2017 with fewer than 20 students, VOCO now serves nearly 200 youth in grades 4–12 across Denver. Programs primarily take place after school in classrooms and community centers, with some open to the public and others available by invitation or audition. While some focus on musical development, others emphasize mental health and social-emotional well-being, ensuring a holistic approach to youth empowerment.

VOCO merged with the Denver Children's Choir in 2025, and together the combined organization reaches nearly 500 youth across the city of Denver.
