We’re About to Open the Doors
In the San Luis Valley, nearly 80% of young children don’t have access to licensed child care.
Families turn down jobs.
Employers struggle to hire.
Kids miss out before they even start school.
So our community built a solution.
We are in the final phase of constructing a new Early Care & Learning Center in Alamosa that will serve 150 children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.
We’ve already raised over $8 million to make this happen.
Now we just need help finishing it.
This Week, You Can Help Finish It
If you saw us on 9NEWS, you know this is a moment.
This isn’t about funding a program.
It’s about opening a place that will serve families for generations.
Every donation moves us closer to opening day.
Why It Matters
This center will:
- Serve 150 children each year
- Support working families across rural Colorado
- Create 25–30 local jobs
- Strengthen the early childhood workforce
- Help families stay employed and communities grow
In rural communities like ours, child care determines whether families can work and whether kids start school ready to succeed.
Built by the Community
This project has been built by the San Luis Valley:
- $8M+ already raised
- Supported by statewide partners and local leaders
- Backed by over 30 years of service to Valley families
We’re not starting something new.
We’re finishing something together.
Be Part of Opening the Doors
No single donation builds a child care center.
But together, we can finish one.
If you’ve ever wondered how to help a community like ours—this is it.
Help us open the doors.
