Help Spencer and Every Autistic Dancer Spread Their Wings in Our New Studio!
Hi, I'm Cristin, and I'm a proud volunteer and Spencer's Mom at the Autistic Wings Dance Company.
I need your help to secure the future of this amazing studio for my son and every single neurodivergent dancer in our community.
The Challenge: When the Dance World Didn't See Spencer
When Spencer first started dancing, I hoped he would find joy. Instead, in traditional dance studios, the experience was often frustrating. The bright lights, loud music, and tight formations were physical barriers that triggered meltdowns. We heard the same message: that Spencer's Autism meant he couldn't excel. My heart broke watching him lose his spark.

The Solution: A Place Where Quirk is King
Everything changed when we found Autistic Wings.
This studio was founded by a fellow autistic dancer, 14 years old Leta, who built a space where neurodivergent dancers don't need to be "fixed" to perform—they just need a safe, tailored space to thrive. At Autistic Wings, class sizes are small, the environment is sensory-friendly, and Spencer is celebrated. He is seen, loved, and safe.
The Urgent Need: Securing Our New, Larger Studio
We're ecstatic because Autistic Wings has secured a lease for a new, much larger studio space to eliminate our long waiting list! This move is essential, but the costs of getting the new facility ready for our dancers are significant.
Your donation will help us:
Build a Sensory-Safe Environment: Convert the new space into a functional, safe environment, including essential acoustic paneling and specialized lighting.
Expand Class Offerings: The larger space finally gives us the capacity to eliminate the waiting list and open evening and weekend classes for both children and adults.
Ensure Stability: Cover the added monthly operational costs of a larger studio so we can focus on our dancers, not the rent.
How You Can Help Spencer and All Our Dancers Fly
Your gift is an investment in a stable, celebratory future for neurodivergent artists.
Spencer’s favorite thing to dance with is his ribbons. Every pack of fresh ribbons costs $20, and that small cost provides him with pure joy and expressive freedom.
Become a Ribbons Guardian ($20/month recurring): This level ensures we can keep our supply of ribbons and sensory tools stocked year-round!
One-Time Gift: Every dollar you give is amplified by the Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund!
$20/month: Be a Ribbons Guardian and provide a fresh pack of expressive ribbons.
$100: Sponsors one student's tap shoes for their first performance in our new space.
$250: Covers one month of the increased utility costs in our new, larger studio.
Thank you for helping us give the next generation of autistic dancers the wings they need to fly.
With immense gratitude,
Cristin (Spencer's Mom and Autistic Wings Advocate)
