I’ve been lucky enough to be part of the Exhibitions Department at MCA Denver for three years now. I’ve gotten to help plan and install some extraordinary exhibitions, from Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe, to Cowboy, and now Roni Horn: Water, Water on the Wall, You’re the Fairest of Them All and Deborah Jack: the haunting of estuaries…an (after)math of confluence, just to name a few.

Watching each exhibition grow from a mere idea in the curator’s mind into a fully-fledged experience that we can share with our visitors is always amazing. There’s been so many times I’ve thought something was going to be impossible to do, just to see our team brainstorm, problem solve and build it six months later. While I handle the meticulous details that goes into bringing the actual artworks to MCA, we have an incredible team of art preparators that work with our Exhibitions Manager to install those artworks and create the exceptional exhibitions you see when you visit MCA Denver.
