High Plains Environmental Center's nursery is growing. Get it? No, but seriously. We're urgently in need of more space to grow our native plants for you!
About Our Nursery:
Everything we grow is native to the Prairie and Rocky Mountain ecoregions, meaning that they are climate adapted, low water, and have vital relationships with native pollinators.
All of our seeds are sustainably sourced. Most are grown from seed in our demonstration gardens, others are from local wild populations.
We rely on biological and mechanical pest controls, i.e., no harmful chemicals to make pollinators sick.
We emphasize using strict species (that is, how the plant occurs in nature) to maximize pollinator interactions.
We grow plants no other nursery will - tricky, finnicky natives that may not even have a Wikipedia page yet! Our botanists work hard to crack the code on germination, pollination, and production.

Nonprofit Mission: The High Plains Environmental Center works to educate communities to become replicable “living laboratories” which demonstrate restorative examples of land-stewardship, native plants, and wildlife habitat.
Conservation - Native Plant Nursery grows 180 species of native plants for homeowners and landscapers to create more sustainable landscapes.
Restoration - Restoration Ecology Team manages 600+ acres of restored open space and wildlife habitat.
