Update posted 1 month ago

We are currently raising funds to cover the registration fee for the 2027 FIRST Robotics competition ( a robotics program for students grades 9-12). The season registration fee is $6,500 (which includes a kickoff kit, and event participation).

About FIRST Robotics Competition

Starting with Kit of Parts, teams of high school students design, program, and build industrial-sized robot to play an action-packed game, release in January. They compete on a themed field as part of a three-team alliance in spirit of Coopertition.

Casa de la Esperanza Learning Center (Casa) is tailored to the unique needs of seasonal farm workers and low-income families of this housing unit, with services during after school hours and summer. Academic support services, enrichment opportunities and access to essential resources are provided by the Learning Center promoting educational achievement towards greater self-sufficiency. One of our primary goals is to engage these students in critical STEM educational opportunities including: math, computer and technology classes, science-based learning, 4-H program, and other such STEM projects.

CU STEM programOur program’s STEM focus provides the youth remarkable enrichment opportunities to increase students’ interest in academics, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Casa de la Esperanza Robotics Academy was developed in the spring of 2007 to foster students’ engagement in their own education as they work with professional mentors in preparation for the robotics competitions.

Our academic support focus on homework assistance provides a quiet space and guided help to ensure assignments are completed accurately, reducing evening stress for families and addressing specific “learning gaps” in subjects like Math or Literacy through one-on-one or small-group instruction.

Our enrichment program is designed to transform the hours outside of school into a season of discovery. We believe that true education extends beyond textbooks, which is why we provide a diverse range of programs aimed at developing students’ skills. Our core programs are Art for children and youth, Youth leadership, and Summer outdoor activities.
