Kantorei is one of the brightest spots of joy in my life. I have been singing in choirs since the age of 3 and don't feel complete unless I'm doing so. Kantorei is such a special group because of the way we combine musical excellence with an incredibly supportive community. It truly feels like a family and our bonds with each other only enhance the performance. When I started having medical issues, I thought I had said goodbye to opportunities to do some of the things I dreamed of when I was a younger singer. Through Kantorei, I've had so many "pinch-me" experiences: working with well-known composers and conductors through commissions and recordings and performances, traveling overseas to sing, and singing with the Aspen Music Festival. On top of all of that, I get to sing with my husband, John, which is always wonderful.
