The Colorado Community College System is the state’s largest provider of postsecondary education and training, serving nearly 130,000 students annually —preparing students to fill in-demand jobs that offer sustaining wages and opportunities for advancement. At CCCS, 44% of students are first in their families to pursue higher education and 50% of our students qualify for federal financial aid and public funding. We serve a diverse, nontraditional student body challenged by non-academic barriers such as childcare or other familial responsibilities, housing or food insecurity and many students are balancing jobs in addition to their schoolwork. CCCS creates educational opportunities that transform lives, families, and communities, driving economic and social mobility throughout Colorado. In partnership with our donors, Foundation driven scholarships and programs bridge the gap for our students and this support is critical to their success.
