Grieving & Growing: Community Tree Planting Event

Join Be a Tree Cremation and The Park People for a community grief gathering & memorial tree planting event at GreenWay Park on Saturday, October 3rd at 9 am. 

Whether you lost someone this year or many years ago, we invite you and your community to join us  in planting a grove of memorial trees as a living legacy for the loved ones you carry with you. Our grief wants to be shared, witnessed, moved, and integrated into the natural world, and this fall we have a chance to grow something beautiful together. 

On Saturday, October 3rd, we will gather to honor our loved ones in a brief tribute ceremony, share with each other in community, and creatively move our grief by planting new life. Planting memorial trees is a joyful way to remember the ones we have lost and to give back to the earth that sustains and heals us. Love, laughter, and tears are all welcome at this gathering, as we grieve & grow together. 

 All of the funds we raise will support The Park People’s mission of working with communities to plant trees and improve parks for a healthier, more resilient future for Denver. Since 1969, this Denver nonprofit has planted over 70,000 trees and improved more than 50 parks. Their ongoing work supports healthy urban ecosystems, reforests the Denver area, and engages community members in tree stewardship. Donating to the Park People is one way for your loved one to live on through nature, enshrining an eco-conscious legacy.

Lunch served at approximately 12:30 PM

Event will wrap up at 1:30 PM
