As board chair of the Local Change Foundation and a lifelong advocate for food security and community well-being, I’ve seen how powerful local support can be. I’m proud to serve alongside a team that believes in building equity and opportunity right here at home. Whether through grants, disaster relief, or our new Down Payment Assistance Program, Local Change is helping Coloradans thrive.

Of all our programs, the scholarship fund holds a special place in my heart. I’ll never forget one scholar who overcame childhood cancer—his strength was inspiring, but his family couldn’t afford college on their own. The Local Change scholarship helped make his dream possible. Stories like his remind me why this work matters. When we invest in people, we change lives—and that’s the kind of impact that lasts.
