Alan Bee 2026 Summer Scholarship Fund

The Alan Bee Farber Memorial Camp Fund proudly sponsored six first-time campers for the 2025 Summer Camp season, giving each child the opportunity to experience Jewish overnight camp, build lifelong friendships, and explore the beauty of the Colorado outdoors. The impact on these families has been profound, and the Fund is committed to expanding that impact even further.

For the upcoming summer season, the Fund aims to send two additional campers, increasing its support from six to eight children. To achieve this goal, it is seeking to raise an additional $6,000. Every dollar goes directly toward helping children whose families would not otherwise be able to afford a Jewish camp experience.

The Fund was created in loving memory of Alan Farber. When Alan and his sister, Lori, were growing up, their family didn’t have much—but their parents, Stan and Ricky Farber, always found a way to give their children a rich and meaningful life. One of the greatest gifts they provided was the opportunity to attend Jewish summer camp. Through scholarships and community generosity, Alan and Lori spent their summers immersed in Jewish values, friendship, and the great Colorado outdoors.

Alan passed away in 1987 at the age of 30. This Fund was originally established by Stan and Ricky to honor their son’s memory, and Lori and her family proudly continue this legacy today. The Fund is dedicated to “paying it forward”—ensuring that children who otherwise would not have access to Jewish overnight camp can experience the same joy, connection, and personal growth that shaped the Farber family’s own lives.

By supporting this initiative, donors help open doors for families who simply need a hand, creating opportunities for children to build Jewish identity, develop resilience, and experience the transformative magic of camp.
