I have been working for Habitat since January 2024 as part of the construction team. I have loved my time living and working in the valley and have seen firsthand how important local families are to this valley. Vail should be a place where the whole community can have a safe place to call home, and with your help we can make it happen!

Affordable homeownership is out of reach for so many hardworking locals in Eagle County. The median home price is now over $1 million.  This is far beyond what teachers, first responders, health care workers, and service providers can afford. Without affordable options, we risk losing the very people who make our community thrive.

That’s where Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley steps in. Since 1995, Habitat Vail Valley has partnered with local families to build more than 146 homes, creating strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Habitat homeowners work alongside volunteers to build their homes and then purchase them with an affordable mortgage. A Habitat home isn’t just a roof, it is the foundation for better health, financial flexibility, and brighter futures for children.

We are building faster, stronger, together:

• 100 homes built in our first 26 years.

• 46 homes built between 2022–2024 alone.

• By 2028, we will complete up to 71 more homes, helping 200 families put down roots in Eagle County.

Behind every Habitat home is a hardworking local family with a powerful story. These are the teachers who inspire our children, the medical staff who care for our neighbors, and the service workers who keep our community running. Yet, in Eagle County, safe, stable housing is far out of reach for the local workforce.

Habitat Vail Valley partners with these families to make homeownership possible. Parents put in sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and neighbors to help build their own homes. Children gain the security of a stable place to grow, study, and dream. Families pay an affordable mortgage, opening the door to financial stability and long-term opportunity.
