Today, the median home in Colorado costs $600k. That means an individual making Colorado's median salary would need to work 96 hours per week to afford that home. That is clearly insane. Meanwhile, thanks to a whole lot of hard work and generous support from people like you, Habitat for Humanity is managing to build homes for half that price.
