80% of girls who start primary school in Nepal drop out before Grade 11.
At the Bahini Education Project, we work to change this. We support girls, our bahinis (“younger sisters” in Nepali), so they can stay in school and turn their goals into reality.
In the communities we serve, most of our students are the first in their families to complete high school. We support girls from grade 9 through grade 12 by covering all school fees and providing mentorship and skills training. We continue supporting them through college with skills-building and career readiness programs. We believe education has the power to lift families out of poverty and create lasting change.
When one girl graduates, others take notice, her sisters, her parents, her whole community. They start to believe that girls’ education is worth investing in.
Your gift helps:
Keep girls in school through financial support and guidance.
Provide mentorship that builds confidence and resilience.
Strengthen community networks that make education possible for the next generation.
Your support would allow us to add more girls into our program and open doors to higher education for those who would otherwise be left behind.
