Hi, my name is Weston, and I run a small greeting card business called K Kubed. I went to a YouthBiz workshop and realized I wanted to start a business.  I created cards for parents to give their campers at overnight camps. My mom gave me the idea when she forgot to send me cards while I was at overnight camp. I thought she probably wasn't the only one who forgot to get cards for their kids.  I give back 5% of my sales to the non-profit camp at the end of the summer!  This year, my first year, I sold 287 cards !!!!

I really like seeing the excited campers and their parents, especially two camps I went to every Sunday, that are Intellectually Developmentally Disabled (IDD) camper focused.  Those campers in particular are so excited to be at sleep-away camp and display pure joy from the moment they check in.

This is my first time competing at the YouthBiz spotlight event. I even have a mentor from the business community to help me be a successful businessman. This competition gives me important business advice and feedback from the panel of judges.  At the Finalist Announcement Party on July 10, 2025, I placed as one of the top three finalists in my age category.  I'll find out at the Gala in October where I finish in the competition.

Each donation to my fundraiser gets me closer to a higher recognition tier at the Gala in October.   Your donations go to supporting Young Americans Center for Financial Education to help young people like me learn how to start and run a small business.

I would be so thankful for your support as I chase my big dreams and try to win.

Sincerely,

Weston
